IRCTC Tourism has announced the Sri Lanka Ramayana Yatra tour package, covering several religious and cultural attractions across the island nation. The 5-night, 6-day journey will include visits to temples and other locations associated with the Hindu epic of Ramayana.

The IRCTC Ramayana Yatra Sri Lanka offers an opportunity to explore the locations that have been associated with the mythological tales of the Ramayana. The Sri Lanka Ramayana Yatra is a pilgrimage-focused tour package offered by IRCTC Tourism. It takes travelers through an immersive journey combining religious sites, scenic attractions, and sightseeing, allowing travelers from India to explore Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage.

The journey will take place across 5 nights and 6 days, including visits to Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Colombo. The package includes flights from Bengaluru to Colombo and back, hotel accommodation, meals, transfers, and sightseeing.

As per the package itinerary, the tour begins with a SriLankan Airlines flight from Bengaluru to Colombo on December 10, 2026, and concludes with a SriLankan Airlines return flight on December 16, 2026.

IRCTC Ramayana Yatra Package Cost

The IRCTC Ramayana Yatra package price varies depending on the type of accommodation you choose.

Single occupancy: INR 86,200

Double occupancy: INR 65,700

Triple occupancy: INR 65,250

Child with bed (5 to 11 years): INR 51,500

Child without bed (2 to 11 years): INR 47,500

Passengers must carry their original passport, valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of return to India. All travelers must submit a copy of their PAN Card and passport (first and last page) to IRCTC Bengaluru within 3 days from the date of booking the package.

Sri Lanka Ramayana Yatra Itinerary & Inclusions

Sri Lanka Ramayana Yatra Itinerary: Bengaluru – Colombo – Dambulla (2N) – Kandy (1N) – Nuwara Eliya (1N) – Colombo (1N) – Bengaluru

Travelers will visit the Manavari Temple and Muneeshwaram Temple on Day 1 with an overnight stay in Dambulla. Day 2 will include visiting the Dambulla Cave Temple along with Koneshwaram Temple and Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple in Trincomalee.

Day 3 will involve a transfer from Dambulla to Kandy, covering visits to a gem factory and batik factory along with visiting the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

On Day 4, travelers will visit the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple in Ramboda, Seetha Amman Temple and Ashoka Vatika.

Day 5 will involve a visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and will travel to Colombo for sightseeing, including Kelaniya Buddhist Temple, Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple and a city tour.

Day 6 will involve checking out from Colombo and flying back to Bengaluru.

The package will include five nights of accommodation, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and transfers and sightseeing in air-conditioned vehicles on a seat-in-coach basis Entry tickets to sightseeing places, services of an English-speaking tour guide, and overseas travel insurance for travelers aged between six months and 79 years is also included in the package. However, the package does not include airfare increases, airport taxes, fuel surcharges, onboard meals, additional sightseeing, porterage, laundry, alcoholic beverages and food-drinks outside the regular menu, and personal expenses.
