re Firsts are always special, and my first-ever solo trip – to the Statue of Unity – has indeed been a memorable one! I visited the Statue of Unity in Ektanagar, Gujarat, in August 2025 for about 3 days followed by a short two day trip to Vadodara. Being my first-ever solo trip, I was anxious, nervous, and equally excited – and let me share with you my experience! Here are some of the best Ekta Nagar tourist places that I feel you must visit during your Statue of Unity 3 day trip!

Statue of Unity & Viewing Gallery
How can I not mention the center point of my visit to Ekta Nagar – the Statue of Unity (SOU)? It currently holds the record for being the tallest statue on Earth – attesting to its grand architectural marvel.
The Statue of Unity is easily visible on a clear day the moment you step outside Ekta Nagar Railway Station. The statue is what attracts most visitors here and visiting it should definitely be the first thing in your Statue of Unity trip itinerary.
There are free bus services in Ekta Nagar for visitors, so you can board one of the buses to reach the Statue of Unity premises. Tickets are available online on the official Statue of Unity website, and we recommend you to book the tickets in advance.
I’d also like to tell you that if you wish to take in surreal views of the nearby area from up top, you must take the combined SOU entry + viewing gallery ticket instead of the SOU entry ticket.

Miyawaki Forest
Miyawaki, for those unversed, is a Japanese technique pioneered by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki that helps build dense, native forests in a short time. The same technique has been replicated in the Miyawaki Forest Garden. The garden is a great place to unwind here, helping you immerse yourself in nature amidst a tourist city.
The Miyawaki method includes planting trees (only native species) as close as possible in the same area which not only saves space, but the planted saplings also support each other in growth and block sunlight reaching the ground, preventing weed growth. The garden is located adjacent to SSNNL Circuit House hill, near Ekta Mall in an area of 2 acres.

Arogya Van
Ekta Nagar has plenty of green spaces for you to enjoy with your family, but Arogya Van is slightly different. It is spread over 17 acres and possesses a number of medicinal herbs, plants, and health-related landscapes. It has plenty of information highlighting the ancient wisdom of India’s medicinal plants, techniques, and practices. I’d recommend visiting Arogya Van for a peaceful stroll!

Jungle Safari (Sardar Patel Zoological Park)
On Day 2 of my stay in Ekta Nagar, I made an impromptu plan of visiting local attractions, and the Jungle Safari was definitely on top of my list. As someone who loves jungle safaris and observing animals in the wild, let me tell you that it is not an actual jungle safari! Consider it more of a zoological park visit, with animals kept captive in small spaces.
Even if you don’t subscribe to the idea of observing animals in this way, the park can be a great attraction for children and senior citizens. There are different sections inside the park filled with different kinds of animals. From reptiles and birds to mammals and insects, there is a diverse range of animals to see. I particularly liked how there are e-carts to transport you from one attraction to another within the park. This can be quite convenient for children and the elderly.

Ekta Cruise
While I couldn’t enjoy the Ekta Cruise due to rainy weather, I’d recommend enjoying this attraction during your Statue of Unity 3 day trip.
There are cruise services from Shreshta Bharat Bhavan to SOU through Narmada River (includes return tickets). On the cruise, you can enjoy the scenic Narmada Ghat and observe Shulpaneshwar Temple, Sardar Sarovar Dam, and of course, the Statue of Unity. There are a number of cultural programs and fun activities on the cruise and you can buy snacks and beverages before boarding the cruise as well as on the cruise. There are different slots available for efficient crowd management and I’d recommend choosing the 16:00 to 16:45 slot for stunning golden hour views over the Narmada River!

Sardar Sarovar Dam View Ride By Yacht
Similar to the cruise ride, the Sardar Sarovar Dam View Ride by yacht is a 1-hour excursion starting from Statue of Unity jetty towards Sardar Sarovar Dam and vice-versa. You can enjoy a luxurious AC yacht ride offering close views of the Sardar Sarovar Dam, Cactus & Butterfly Garden, and more. On any special day, families or individuals can hire the Yacht Ride for 1 hour. A guide is also available on board for ride explanation and complimentary snacks & juice are provided on board.

Unity Glow Garden
While most attractions in Ekta Nagar are best visited in the day, I’d recommend visiting Unity Glow Garden for a twist. The garden opens at 6:45 PM and is known for its LED-lit sculptures and neon art installations. As the sun sets and the atmosphere becomes dark, the garden turns into a magical glowing wonderland. Themed zones take visitors through enchanted forests, and cosmic scenes – all crafted from recycled and energy-efficient materials.

My Statue of Unity 3 day trip was memorable as it was my first-ever solo trip. However, what I’ve observed is that the Statue of Unity is a great destination for family travelers more than solo travelers.
