Statue Of Unity

The Statue of Unity, standing tall in Gujarat, India, is not only the tallest statue in the world but also offers numerous activities. From boating experiences to impressive light and sound shows, one has plenty of options to choose from. And now, the Statue of Unity is all set to offer one more experience! The Gujarat government has announced a development: a luxurious cruise on the Narmada River right next to the Statue of Unity.

Statue Of Unity To Get A New Cruise, Here Are Key Details

This new cruise, which will accommodate up to 600 passengers, aims to enhance the overall visitor experience while promoting river tourism in Ekta Nagar, located in the Narmada district. Once all necessary approvals and safety requirements are met, the cruise will begin its commercial operations.

Currently, the Statue of Unity already offers a smaller 200-passenger cruise service, providing stunning views of the statue, the beautiful Narmada River, and its scenic surroundings. However, with the rising tourist numbers and demand for unique river experiences, this new vessel is a welcome addition.

What Makes This Cruise Special?

It is designed to be a versatile floating venue, perfect for sightseeing as well as hosting a variety of social and corporate events. Whether it’s a product launch, a cultural performance, or a destination wedding, this cruise is equipped to handle it all. It features stylish architectural lighting for nighttime operations, a spacious dining area that can accommodate 250 guests, and a dedicated 5×4-metre performance stage.

Measuring 30 metres in length and 12 metres in width, the new cruise offers significantly more capacity compared to the existing 24-metre-long vessel. This expansion not only improves the event infrastructure but also improves onboard facilities, ensuring a premium experience for all visitors.

The Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority (SOUADTGA) is committed to developing top-notch tourism facilities, cementing Ekta Nagar's status as a premier tourist destination in India. The introduction of this luxurious cruise is expected to diversify visitor experiences, providing plenty of opportunities for corporate gatherings, cultural events, and private celebrations.

Moreover, this initiative is set to boost tourism in Gujarat, creating local job opportunities and stimulating economic growth.

How To Reach The Statue Of Unity

Ekta Nagar Railway Station offers the nearest connections to major cities. For a faster route, you might want to fly from Mumbai to Vadodara Airport. Once there, taxis and buses are readily available to take you to the statue. Vadodara Airport is well linked to key cities across India, making air travel quite convenient. If you prefer a straightforward option, try checking for bus services from Mumbai to the Statue of Unity, but make sure to verify schedules and availability.

Summing Up

The Statue of Unity is set to introduce a new luxury 600-passenger cruise on the Narmada River, improving the visitor experience at Ekta Nagar. Designed for sightseeing as well as corporate events, weddings, cultural performances, and private celebrations, the cruise features a 250-seat dining area, a performance stage, and architectural lighting for evening operations.
