ToggleCommercial Flight Operations Begin At Adani Mundra Airport
Owned by Kolhapur-based Sanjay Ghodawat Group, Star Air has officially begun operating flights from the Adani Mundra Airport. The airport will facilitate regular air connectivity from Mundra to Mumbai, Goa, Surat, Belgaum, Bangalore, Kolhapur, Nanded, and Hindon (Delhi-NCR). This will strengthen the logistics and industrial ecosystem around the Kutch region.
These direct flights will offer last-mile linkages by creating an express corridor. It is set to reduce travel time for logistics, commerce, trade, and tourism.
This airport will also facilitate large-scale cargo operations. It will help in linking farmers and producers of this region to the world. The executive director at Adani Ports & SEZ mentioned that the discussions are still on about the cargo operations. He mentioned that the farmers and producers have demanded the airlifting of perishable consignments from Mundra.
The airport is set to create a powerful synergy between aviation operations and the group’s port.
