We were walking casually around Bandra (which should be by now called the Cafe Capital of India), and we spotted a bakehouse that was super crowded. As human nature has it, we were so curious to know why the bakehouse was this crowded. So to satisfy our curiosity, we squeezed our way through the crowd and finally entered. We looked around and tried some of their bestsellers to check if this place was worth the hype. So here’s an unfiltered and honest review of Zaro Bakehouse on unstumbled’s IP Dine & Dish.
About Zaro Bakehouse
Zaro Bakehouse is a trendy and artisanal bakery located in the bylanes of Bandra in Mumbai. It is operated primarily as a “grab-and-go” bakehouse built for coffee runs, fresh bakes, and sweet cravings. It was founded by Roshni and Zakki Sayyed and initially began only as a passion project before they revamped it in Bandra. As it is a grab-and-go concept spot, there is very minimal seating available here. So either you will have to stand and relish your treats or take them with you.

Zaro Bakehouse Review
The Ube Latte
Ube latte is a purple drink that is made from ube (Filipino purple yam), sweetener, and milk. It is known for offering a distinct nutty and white chocolate flavor. This was our first time trying it, and we thought it was really good. People who love the flavor that milk powder brings will surely love this one. Safe to say it will be L’s repeat order.

Tandoori Chicken Croissant
Honestly, we thought it would be just good, and we might miss the tandoori flavor as the color of the stuffing was white. But it did blow our minds and proved us wrong! The filling was amazingly creamy, packed with that quintessential tandoori flavor. The quality of the croissant was extremely good, and it was perfectly flaky. We surely loved it!

Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake
We, of course, had to try their best-selling desserts, and the first one was the old-fashioned chocolate cake. It did look very appetizing and tempting, but when we tried it, we felt it was too chocolaty for our liking. We wished the sponge was more than the chocolate in this cake. All in all, it was good but did not really impress us.

Tres Leches
The next dessert we tried was Tres Leches. The words “Tres Leches” basically mean three milks in Spanish, and this place has surely done all justice to the original one. It is extremely creamy, and the cake is so soft. We thought it was by far their best dessert that we have tried.
