Tura, the main town in the West Garo Hills is the most practical base from which to reach the festival site. Anyone coming in from outside Meghalaya will be travelling via Guwahati in Assam and then on by road to Tura. It's a long journey and it's far better to plan an overnight stay rather than try and make the journey to the festival straight from the long haul.

From Tura you can organise local transport to Chibragre. A private taxi or pre-arranged vehicle may be the easiest option, particularly if you're planning to stay until the evening performances. You'll need to confirm transport availability and return arrangements prior to arriving at the venue.
