Delhi has been transformed into a vibrant kaleidoscope of culture, heritage, art, and traditions with Shilp Samagam Mela 2026. It is organized by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi. It is a 15-day extravaganza that brings India’s traditional craftsmanship, rich artistic traditions, and cultural diversity to a common platform. From dates to shopping guides, here’s everything you must know:

Shilp Samagam Mela 2026

The Shilp Samagam Mela is known as an annual flagship socio-economic initiative. It is designed to offer a direct market link to the marginalized micro-entrepreneurs and craftspeople across India. This is very different from the commercial flea markets and is backed by apex financial corporations. This includes National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC), National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC), National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC), and National Divyangjan Finance and Development Corporation (NDFDC).

This mela is set to bring all the master artisans, weavers, and self-help groups from Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Divyangjan communities, and Safai Karamcharis together, giving them an opportunity to display and market their products. The Ministry has been hosting Shilp Samagam Melas since 2022

This year, it was inaugurated on November 1, 2026, and will run till November 15, 2026. It has been curated under the captivating theme, “Prakash aur Parampara - Jyoti Se Jyoti Jalayein”. The mela features over 150 specialized stalls, which are operated under the Purple Feast and Bharat TULIP (Traditional Artisans’ Upliftment Livelihood Programme). Here, visitors will also get a chance to interact with the artisans, including those who have received National Awards.
