Traveling from Greater Noida to cities such as Lucknow, Varanasi, Patna, and Kolkata could become more convenient with the planned major railway terminal at Bodaki near Dadri. At present, many passengers from Gautam Buddha Nagar travel toward Delhi or Ghaziabad to board long-distance trains. With the upcoming Bodaki Railway Terminal, those services are expected to come closer while also connecting different modes of public transport at one location.
The new Greater Noida railway station is being developed near the existing station in Bodaki village, about 3 km from the Greater Noida Authority. More than 46 hectares have been earmarked for this station as part of a much larger multi-modal transport hub.
Where Will Trains From Bodaki Railway Terminal Go?
Located on the Delhi-Howrah main railway line, the terminal is expected to improve rail access from Greater Noida to several parts of the country. Planned connectivity includes Kanpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.
It could also connect passengers traveling toward Bihar with Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, and Darbhanga. In addition, services are planned toward Dhanbad, Ranchi, Asansol, Howrah, and Kolkata, while long-distance trains could extend toward Guwahati and other parts of the Northeast. The terminal is planned with 12 platforms and 63 yards, including loop lines. It is expected to handle and maintain more than 100 trains a day, including Vande Bharat, Rajdhani, and other express services.
How Will Bodaki Connect With The Noida Metro?
The Bodaki metro extension is another important part of the project. It includes a 2.6-km extension of the Noida Metro Aqua Line from the existing depot station to Bodaki. Along this extension, two stations, Janapada and Bodaki, are planned. Once operational, passengers using Greater Noida’s metro network would have a direct public transport connection to the railway terminal.
Will Bodaki Railway Terminal Connect With Namo Bharat?
The proposed Bodaki Namo Bharat connectivity will use the 72-km Ghaziabad-Greater Noida-Jewar Namo Bharat corridor. The route is planned to connect Ghaziabad with Greater Noida and Noida International Airport in Jewar. It is expected to pass through key stops including Greater Noida West, Pari Chowk, Bodaki, Dankaur, and Sector 21. The proposed network would also connect Bodaki with the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor.

What Other Transport Links Are Planned At Bodaki?
An Inter-State Bus Terminal spread across 12.5 acres is planned as part of the transport hub, allowing passengers to switch between trains and buses at the same location. Local bus services are also expected to provide onward links. Road access is planned via the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, NH-34, the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, and the Yamuna Expressway. To support this access, new 105-meter and 60-meter-wide roads are also proposed to improve access to the terminal.
What Facilities Will The New Railway Station Have?
Bodaki is being planned as more than a conventional railway station. Its two-story station building is expected to have railway operations on the ground floor, while the upper floors will include hotels, food outlets, and commercial spaces. The idea is to integrate rail, metro, rapid rail, buses, and road connectivity to make transfers easier for passengers traveling through Greater Noida. Together, these links would create a more connected transport hub.

When Is Bodaki Railway Terminal Expected To Be Completed?
The project has been granted special railway project status to expedite land acquisition and related procedures. According to the Detailed Project Report and NCR Master Plan information cited in the reference material, construction is expected to be completed within three years. Until an official opening date is announced, passengers should treat this as a planned timeline rather than a confirmed launch date. In the meantime, the project remains in its development phase.
