Kinner Kailsh Yatra New Rules
In order to maintain order, protect nature and safeguard human life, the Kinnaur District Administration and Himachal Pradesh Police have enforced some new rules and safety directives. Let’s take a look:
- Deviating or taking shortcuts from marked trails across the scree slopes is illegal. Offenders will be subjected to fines.
- Throwing plastic bottles, non-biodegradable littering, or discarding wrappers along the route is not allowed. This will be counted as a punishable offence by law.
- Making any unnecessary noise, playing loud electronic music, or damaging sacred rock structures near the shivling or the Parvati kund is barred.
- You cannot begin the trek before the official dawn hours. Also note not to trek after sunset to prevent falls.
- The devotees must trek alongside official guides or in small registered groups.
- Consuming tobacco, alcohol, or any narcotic substances during the yatra is prohibited.
