Tucked in the corner of the International Business Park in Goregaon is TwentySeven Bakehouse’s fourth and latest outpost. Adorned with its signature navy blue and white interiors, the Goregaon chapter has the same laidback ambiance as its other outlets at Nepean Sea Road, Mahalaxmi, and Bandra. This latest addition promises to bring the same reliably delicious croissants, pastries, and other sweet and savory baked goods that have made it a popular hangout spot for many. We visited this new outlet to see for ourselves whether it stood up to the standards that its predecessors have set. Here is the full unfiltered unstumbled review!

TwentySeven Bakehouse Unveils A Goregaon Chapter

TwentySeven Bakehouse goregaon

Having visited the flagship outlet in Mahalaxmi a couple of years ago, we knew that we were in for a journey of flavors. However, what we didn’t expect and what accentuated our experience significantly was the vibe of the place and the exceptional service. The cozy outlet is tucked in a business park, and at the time we visited, the ambiance was very peaceful and relaxed. The interiors were a sophisticated blend of industrial and contemporary, modern aesthetic.

The main counter had a glass display of their mouthwatering, so-perfect-it-looks-fake-looking pastries, quiches, croissants, and cakes. After leering at the pastries for a good 10-15 minutes with barely contained drooling, my colleague and I peeled ourselves off the glass counter and sat down at a table to pore over their menu.

Restricted by our accursed physical forms, as it only lets us eat so much, we were unable to order what we truly wanted (everything on the menu and at the counter), and instead, ordered the following:

Strawberry and Lemon Iced Tea

Vietnamese Cold Brew

Better Than Dr*gs Garlic Knots with the Chilli Honey Dip and the Cheesy Jalapeno Dip.

Pulled Pork Kimchi Sandwich

Chermoula Chicken Pizza With Vodka Sauce

Mango Basque Cheesecake

Grapefruit Cake

Strawberry Lemon Iced Tea & Vietnamese Cold Brew

The Strawberry Lemon Iced Tea came out of a can, which was slightly disappointing. However, its taste definitely was not. Cold, crisp, and refreshing, a solid iced tea.

Would We Order It Again? Probably not.

The Vietnamese Cold Brew was a slight letdown as it lacked that strong punch of coffee. It tasted like the sweeter, watered-down version of a regular cold coffee.

Better Than Dr*gs Garlic Knots With Honey Chilli & Cheesy Jalapeno Dips

TwentySeven Bakehouse goregaon

Aptly named, the garlic knots are a vampire’s nightmare and a garlic lover’s dream. The plate has six garlic knots, each stuffed with cheese and topped with a generous helping of fragrant, butter-infused crushed garlic! Paired with the Cheesy Jalapeno dip, it becomes a dangerously addictive combo that you cannot stop eating. The Honey Chilli Dip, though, was a bit of a letdown as the chilli failed to play its part and the dip ended up on the sweeter side.

Would We Order It Again? Yes!

Pulled Pork Kimchi Sandwich

TwentySeven Bakehouse goregaon

Kimchi-marinated tender grilled pork on focaccia, a generous helping of melty, ooey-gooey cheese, along with assorted greens and veggies. It is meaty, flavorful, well-spiced, creamy, and dripping with sauces! As a drippy, saucy sandwich lover, this sandwich was the best thing we tried! A messy sandwich, sure, but tasty AF! One is enough as a meal for a person with a small appetite.

Would We Order It Again? Yes, absolutely!

Chermoula Chicken Pizza With Vodka Sauce

TwentySeven Bakehouse goregaon

An absolute unit of a pizza, this one is made for sharing! The stretchy mozzarella, smoky chicken, and the airy crust made this pizza a solid one. We doused ours with the chilli-infused olive oil, chilli flakes, and oregano, and inhaled it. The Chermoula chicken was well-flavored, almost reminiscent of barbecue sauce. The crust was perfect for dipping in the leftover sauces from our garlic knots!

Would We Order It Again? Probably

Mango Basque Cheesecake And Grapefruit Cake

Finally, the time came to take our pic from the glass counter we had been shamelessly oggling at. So we chose the Mango Basque Cheesecake and the Grapefruit Cake.

The Mango Basque Cheesecake was rich and creamy, almost too creamy for our liking. If you’re a fan of rich desserts, you will surely love this. For us, it was a bit of a miss.

Would We Order It Again? Probably not.

The Grapefruit Cake, on the other hand, was delightfully light and airy. It was a sponge cake topped with a grapefruit slice, which gave the cake a refreshing, zesty flavor. A perfect companion for tea-time!

Would We Order It Again? Yes, absolutely!

Final Verdict

So, what’s our final verdict? The ambiance was relaxed, a perfect hangout spot for long yap-sessions with a group of friends and colleagues. The food is delicious, the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. Some may find the pricing to be a tad bit steeper, but that is justified by the portion size as well as the range of items they serve that are not easily available at other places in Mumbai. The best part, however, has to be the service of the place. The staff is extremely attentive, polite, and present, and the food is served in a jiffy. What more could you ask for?

Overall, for us, TwentySeven Bakehouse’s Goregaon outlet is a crisp 8.5/10!
