Tokyo Mega Illumi 2026: The much-awaited Tokyo Mega Illumi is coming back for its final season, and the dates have been announced. It is a massive, open-air winter light and entertainment event and is held at Oi Racecourse in Tokyo’s Shinagawa City. It simply transforms the venue into a wonderland of color, lights, and unbelievable visual displays. The event will be held from October 31, 2026, to January 10, 2027. It is said to be the largest illumination event in Tokyo, as millions of LED bulbs light up the night and the city!

Oi Racecourse Illumination Event
Shingawa Station is one of the busiest stations in Tokyo, and Oi Racecourse is located just 15 minutes from it, where Tokyo Mega Illumi is set to be hosted. This year is the ninth season of the famous and much-loved Tokyo Mega Illumi. The event is set to feature two main attractions this year. These include a giant mega tree illuminated in colorful lights and the Edo Cherry Blossom Tunnel, a 100-metre-long light corridor.
Apart from these attractions, there will also be various events hosted here. These include the Guidance Horse X Fountain Show, character shows, an aurora-inspired sky show, a musical fountain show, and Petting with Miniature Horses. All these amazing shows are set to keep visitors engaged throughout.
There will be photo booths, food stalls serving delicious food, and many more interactive experiences for all age groups. The event will also host meet-and-greets, scheduled horse-drawn carriages or pony rides, and photos with miniature ponies.
