Thailand is planning to launch an app soon that will simplify the registration process for foreign travelers and make the procurement of Digital Arrival cards easier than ever before. Officially named the Thailand Immigration Management (ThIM) app, it is still in the trial phase as of now. Once launched, it promises to make registering easier than the process on the website. As per official Thai authorities, the process can even be completed in less than three minutes!

Foreign travelers, including Indians, are required to procure a travel card before visiting Thailand. The app is being developed in association with a private company. Given the high number of travelers the nation has been witnessing, this move was taken to reduce the hassle associated with registering.

What Is ThIM And Why Is It Better?
As of now, travelers can register on the official Thai website in order to get their travel card. However, that process can take a long time. Once the app is launched, the whole process of registering can be completed in less than three minutes, as per the officials.

Among other key features of the app is also that in one single session, you can register up to ten people, making registration extremely easy for large groups of people! Officials hope to develop this app into a one-stop platform for all of travelers’ documentation needs.
