Navi Mumbai To Get India’s Largest Disneyland-Inspired Theme Park

The theme park inspired by Disneyland is an initiative led by the Maharashtra government in collaboration with Niti Aayog. It is set to be developed in Navi Mumbai. Spanning an impressive 200 hectares, this park is anticipated as a major entertainment center aimed at drawing both local and global tourists.

With projected costs ranging between USD 6-7 billion, the park is designed to provide a wide entertainment offering. The offerings include amusement zones, water attractions, hotels, and animation studios. The Maharashtra government is proactively seeking private investors and presenting appealing financial incentives.

Experts anticipate that this theme park will significantly boost the local economy. It will generate thousands of jobs in sectors like hospitality, construction, and entertainment.

The allocation of land for this venture, overseen by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), is slated for completion by 2025-26, with a follow-up bidding process for private investors planned for 2026-27.

Its strategic placement in Navi Mumbai, in proximity to the forthcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport, assures convenient access for tourists from both within the country and abroad. This will position the park as a serious contender in the global theme park market.
