What comes to your mind when you think about a bakery? A strong aroma of fresh bread, delicious puffs and pastries, right? Well, not always! Ringo is here to change that visual! Mumbai has welcomed a new bakery-cafe, and mind you, it is here to blow your mind! It is the latest addition to Mumbai’s cafe landscape, ditching the regular Bandra space. Ringo fills the gap of a space that accommodates the shifting rhythms of a Mumbaikar’s day!. Serving coffee, breakfast items, and cocktails, let’s take a look at this new launch!

Mumbai Welcomes Ringo: A Transition Concept

The philosophy behind the launch of Ringo is simple: it’s fluid and adapts around you. It does not make you shift from a morning breakfast spot to a midday workspace and then to a cocktail bar in the evening. Instead, it transitions into all of this for you! Yes, you read that right.

The architecture and interior of this newly launched space in Vikroli also speak about its duality. With large floor-to-ceiling windows, the space gets ample natural light and good vibes. It also has a minimal aesthetic, an acoustic morning playlist, and lush greenery inside, which together invite a mood for slow mornings or focused work.

As time goes by and dusk enters, the mood begins to shift. The bright natural lights dim down to an amber glow, the acoustic morning playlist transitions to low-fi house beats, and you see people gathering near the marble-topped cocktail bar slowly.

Ringo positions itself as a “third place” in Mumbai’s fast-paced environment. In hospitality, third place generally refers to a social environment that is different from home and work.

The Spectacular Team And Vision

Ringo is not only opening its doors in Mumbai, but it is also setting a new standard for what a modern bakery-cafe should look like. It is conceptualized and launched by the team behind Ekaa and KMC in Mumbai.

Chef Niyati Rao’s approach is simple: don’t underestimate the Indian audience. The result is a menu that constantly surprises, mixing familiar flavours with unexpected formats and techniques. Ringo is here to redefine the Indian Viennoiserie scene.

We asked Chef Niyati Rao about her favourite dish on the menu at Ringo, and she said it’s tough to choose one as the menu changes every day. She still pointed out some dishes like Podi Potato Puff, Quiche, Croissants, and Laminations. Chef Niyati is confident that Ringo serves one of the best croissants, as it is warm, you can feel the layers, and it is soft.
