Itinerary Of Jailer 2 Shooting Locations
1. Stop 1: Kozhikode And Cheruvannur, Kerala: The Heritage Haven
This is the heritage backdrop where the core family and dramatic scenes were shot for the sequel. To be more precise, the Sudarshan Bungalow in Cheruvannur in the Nallalam region of Kozhikode was the historic estate where Rajinikanth filmed his initial Kerala schedule. You can walk through Kozhikode’s historic Beach Road, sample iconic Kozhikode Halwa and Malabar Biryani at Paragon Restaurant, and then proceed to explore the heritage estates around Nallalam.

2. Stop 2: Attappadi, Palakkad And Athirappilly, Kerala: Forest Chase Corridors
These are the areas where all the high-voltage forest border sequences, rural hideouts, and scenic riverbed shots were filmed. At the scenic Attapadi hills, scenes featuring dense forest roads with Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishnan, and S.J. Suryah were filmed for high-stakes border sequences.
The countryside of Palakkad is where picturesque rural tracts were filmed for key ensemble scenes featuring Shiva Rajkumar. During the final leg of Kerala filming, scenic riverbed locations near the Athirapilly Waterfalls and Kochi were used.
To get the best experience, you can drive through the Silent Valley buffer zone in Attappadi and stay in a traditional Palakkad Tharavad. You can also visit the iconic Athirappilly Falls if you enjoy seeing waterfalls.
3. Stop 3: Chennai And East Coast Road, Tamil Nadu: Metropolitan Showdowns
Chennai, for the filming of Jailer 2, served as the urban production base, combining high-risk public street filming with massive studio set-pieces. Adityaram Studios, a major filming studio in Chennai, was where massive, custom-built rural village sets were constructed specifically for Jailer 2.
What is more, locations like Sathyam Cinemas and Royapettah are real public locations in central Chennai where high-stakes urban crowd scenes were filmed.
For the ultimate experience, you can drive down to the East Coast Road (ECR) and catch a morning show at Sathyam Cinemas. After this, you can relish authentic filter coffee at classic Mylapore eateries.
4. Stop 4: Panaji And Coastal Goa: The Smuggling Network Base
The coastal docks, heritage streets, and Portuguese colonial villas in Goa provided a gritty maritime ambiance to the movie. Many scenes in the film feature the coastal stretches around Old Goa, Panaji, and heritage jetties.
To get the full feel of the movie on your Goa visit, take a stroll through the Latin Quarters and Fontainhas area of Old Goa. You can also embark on a sunset cruise on the Mandovi River and dine at seaside shacks.
