Vietnam, a Southeast Asian country, has emerged as a top destination for Indian travelers, thanks to its beautiful landscapes and vibrant cities. This Southeast Asian country offers an E-visa for Indians, making it easier for them to visit. From the lively streets of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to the stunning scenery of Halong Bay, Vietnam caters to a variety of interests and preferences. And if you, too, are planning a trip to Vietnam, we have an update for you! Digital Arrival Card (DAC) has become a requirement for all international travelers arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. This new regulation, effective from April 15, 2026, is intended to streamline the immigration process and reduce waiting times at one of Vietnam’s busiest airports.
The DAC replaces the old paper arrival forms that travelers previously used upon arrival. Instead, visitors must provide their personal and travel details online via Vietnam’s official immigration website 72 hours before their arrival.
Currently, only Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City has implemented the new arrival card process. The arrival card collects essential information such as passport details, visa or entry permit information, flight number, arrival time, and accommodation address. Once submitted, travelers will receive a QR code, which they must present to immigration officials upon arrival.

ToggleWho Needs To Submit The DAC ?
The DAC applies to all foreign nationals entering Vietnam, including those traveling on visas or exemptions. However, Vietnamese citizens with national passports and transit passengers who do not go through immigration are not required to complete the DAC.
The form must be submitted within 72 hours before arrival to ensure a smooth entry experience. It is advisable to fill it out in advance to avoid delays at immigration.
For Indian travelers, the DAC is an additional step on top of the existing e-visa application, further simplifying their journey to Vietnam.
You can fill out the form here. You must also note that even if you already have a valid 90-day e-visa, you will still need to complete this additional requirement. For Indian travelers applying for an e-visa, the fees are as follows: $25 for a single-entry visa and $50 for a multiple-entry visa.
Documents Required For Indian Travelers Applying For A Vietnam Visa
Indian travelers need to have their original passport, which should be valid for at least six months and have at least two blank pages.
Additionally, the passport must remain valid for a minimum of 45 days after the travel date to Vietnam. Travelers should fill out the application form completely and include two clear passport-size photographs (4X6 cm) with a white background.
It’s also necessary to have flight tickets. For minors, a copy of the birth certificate and a sponsorship letter are required, along with parental authorization if the minor is traveling alone.
