What To Know About Chardham Yatra

Uttarakhand, often known as Devbhoomi or the Land of Gods, attracts pilgrims throughout the year due to its numerous temples. A significant pilgrimage in the region is the Char Dham Yatra, which includes four sacred sites: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, all located in the Himalayas. The Yatra begins at Yamunotri and follows a clockwise route to Gangotri, then to Kedarnath, before concluding at Badrinath. These high-altitude shrines remain closed for approximately six months each year due to harsh weather conditions.
