Yes, you read that right - our favorite starter, Chicken 65, ranked third on the global list.

Originating from Chennai in South India, Chicken 65 is a zesty, flavorful dish made with marinated chicken, ginger, lemon, red chilies, and a mix of spices, all deep-fried to perfection. This recognition is a major milestone for Indian gastronomy, with Chicken 65 being the only Indian dish featured on this prestigious list.

As for the rest of the list, Korean Fried Chicken took the top spot, followed by Japan's Karaage in second. Ayam Goreng, which had previously topped the list, now sits at fifth. Other Asian fried chicken dishes making their mark include China’s Zhaziji, Taiwan’s Popcorn Chicken, and Indonesia’s Ayam Penyet.

Chicken 65's recognition is yet another triumph for Indian cuisine on the global stage. In fact, recently The prestigious global food guide, TasteAtlas, ranked 62 of the world’s best coffees, and Indian filter coffee bagged the top spot on the list.
