It is a common misconception that the Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati is among the five Maanache Ganpati. It is not among the five Maanache Ganpati, but it is the wealthiest temple in Pune.
This is perhaps Pune’s most instantly recognizable Ganpati and one of the biggest attractions during Ganeshotsav. The temple is located in the historic Budhwar Peth and draws enormous crowds even during normal days.
Unlike Kasba, where the attraction is strongly rooted in the identity of Pune itself, Dagdusheth is known for its grandeur, elaborate floral decorations and spectacular festival atmosphere.

Once you’ve visited Kasba and Dagdusheth, continue walking towards Tulshibag Ganpati Temple.
Tulshibaug is a culturally significant neighborhood in Pune. It is one of the best-known traditional market areas in Pune’s old city. With historic temples, including the Tulshibaug Ganpati, old markets, and bustling shopping streets, Tulshibaug remains an important cultural center in the city’s history.
First established in 1901, the Tulshibaug Ganpati idol was upgraded to a glass fiber statue in 1975. This made it the first ever ganpati idol to do so. The idol is adorned with more than 80 kgs of precious ornaments.

You could technically visit these mandals in any order as they are located in close proximity to each other.
However, we’d recommend the Kasba – Dagdusheth – Tulshibaug route as it is linear. Start with Kasba for its spiritual auspiciousness and then walk your way to Dagdusheth. Then walk from there to Tulshibaug while soaking in the cultural grandiosity of Ganeshotsav celebrations in Pune.
