And now, an Orange Heatwave Alert has been issued for several regions, particularly in Rajasthan, where intense heat continues to grip the area. In fact, five districts in the state are now under this alert, with maximum temperatures expected to soar beyond 46 degrees Celsius in regions like Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, and the Shekhawati area.

Rajasthan is currently experiencing extreme heatwave conditions that are making life quite difficult for residents. During the day, the temperature soars, leaving people feeling the heat, while the nights are surprisingly warm, offering little respite. Several cities, including Jaipur, Kota, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Bikaner, and Dausa, have reported minimum temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius. Kota has even recorded the hottest nights in the state, with temperatures staying around 33 degrees Celsius.

To beat the heat in Rajasthan and to help the residents, local authorities are stepping up relief efforts. They’re sprinkling water on the roads, creating temporary shelters, and ensuring that drinking water is easily accessible in various areas.

Looking ahead, the forecast shows that maximum temperatures across most of the state will range between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius. Some regions, particularly in the Bikaner and Kota divisions and the Shekhawati area, could see temperatures climb to 46-47 degrees Celsius.

Besides Rajasthan, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heatwave conditions in Telangana, particularly on May 30, with temperatures projected to exceed 44°C in several districts. Areas like Nalgonda and Suryapet are expected to reach or surpass this threshold. Additionally, Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Mancherial may face similarly severe heat on that day, with isolated areas experiencing extreme temperatures.
