First International Cruise

On September 4, 2023, the International Cruise Terminal at Visakhapatnam Port was launched, with the presence of Shripad Naik, the State Minister of Tourism, and other prominent figures. And now, this newly operational terminal is set to launch Visakhapatnam’s first international cruise service on July 15. Cordelia Cruises will begin its international sails from this terminal, marking a key development in the cruise tourism sector of the area.

This international cruise offers travelers an exciting opportunity to embark on a luxury voyage from India’s east coast, eliminating the need for flights. The journey promises beautiful sea vistas, captivating sunsets, and a seamless adventure over 14 days, combining Indian ports with popular locations in Southeast Asia.

The cruise will start in Visakhapatnam, with its first stop being Chennai for a two-day layover, allowing guests to explore the city. Afterwards, the ship will venture into international waters, visiting destinations such as Phuket in Thailand, Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and concluding in Singapore. Passengers can enjoy both luxury on-board amenities and rich cultural experiences at various ports.

One of the unique benefits of this cruise is that travelers do not need a visa to enter Thailand and Malaysia, while they must arrange a visa beforehand for Singapore.

A passport with a minimum of six months’ validity is the only necessary documentation. This new option provides an accessible departure point for travelers in eastern and southern India, making it easier to embark on international voyages.
