Delhi To Noida Airport: Direct AC Buses & Elevated Roads Planned

The national capital of the country is all set to receive a major travel upgrade. In an attempt to make travel more convenient and accessible for more people, the government of Delhi is planning on starting a direct bus service from the National Capital Region (NCR) to the newly inaugurated Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar. Furthermore, the central government is also planning to work on roads and elevated corridors that will also ease connectivity to the airport.

If reports are to go by, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has released a blueprint. As per this blueprint, they are planning on deploying premium AC buses spanning 12 meters. These buses will carry passengers directly to Jewar Airport.

The route for these buses will be mapped strategically. The route will target areas that are high-passenger-demand zones for office commuters. By planning the route in such a way, the buses will ease travel for office goers as well as airport travelers in one fell swoop.

Upcoming Roads Planned By The Center

The Union Minister of State, Harsh Malhotra, recently made an announcement. In the announcement he made, he mentioned the upcoming two traffic-free links. The first one he mentioned was the Sarai Kale Khan to Sohna link. This will streamline the traffic and connectivity from South Delhi to Gurugram.

The second link is from Faridabad to Jewar. This will connect Haryana directly to Jewar. Another highly anticipated link is the Kalind Kunj Project. This proposed project, if completed, will eliminate traffic congestion at major intersections in Delhi, Noida, and Faridabad. This will make the way to the Yamuna Expressway smoother and subsequently ease the journey to Jewar.

These flyovers are an important move to not just ease connectivity to the new airport, but also to systematically decongest major chokepoints in Delhi and nearby areas.
