Why Are The Cuts Happening?
There are two main reasons for the mass cancellations of flights: Longer routes and more expensive fuel. Owing to the ongoing war, airdomes in the Middle East are not operational. This has forced a number of flights to reroute or take longer detours.
The longer routes consume more time, man-power, and fuel. This means that the cost of operations also increases drastically. The high fuel consumption is a double whammy of sorts since the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) has also gone up.
