Author’s Note

I personally love when Onam comes around. Each year, my best friend invites me over to her place to experience the delicious banana leaf meal. One of the things that I feel is super underrated about Sadhya is the condiment it is accompanied with. Puli inji is my absolute favourite, and I could eat it with all my meals. The sweet and sour tang that comes from the jaggery and tamarind paste is quite unparalleled. For me, my sadhya is incomplete without papadum and Puli inji! So, no matter which place you go to, make sure that these two components of the meal are perfect.

Summing Up

Every year, Onam brings with it a mind-blowing feast of flavors, community, and a wave of festivities. For many, experiencing the Onam Sadhya becomes almost synonymous with the celebration of Onam itself. If you are one of these people, the places we have listed will ensure that you enjoy your Onam thoroughly. Each dish on the banana leaf is thoughtfully and meticulously prepared with the finest ingredients. As you gather with your family to sit at the Sadhya feast, you are reminded that the festival is about way more than just food. It is also about community, culture, and everything that makes moments like these so memorable.
