As per the post shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by the IMD, regions like northwestern, eastern, and central India will see mercury rising to a scorching 46°C. In addition to this, the temperature across regions like Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad is expected to remain consistently above 43°C.

The IMD has also warned of hot, powerful surface winds during the afternoon and evenings. Chances are that these conditions will then exacerbate into severe heatwave conditions.
