For me, traveling to Goa by train will always be the best option. I have been to Goa multiple times and have reached there by various modes of transport. The train journey was, hands down, the very best. Not only is it affordable, but the travel time, too, is pretty reasonable. Having said that, I understand that many people do not have the time to travel via train.
So my suggestion is, if you are in Goa for only two or three days, take a flight. If you already own a car, have a passionate driver, or a pet you wanna take along with you, travel by road. It will also be convenient since you can rely on your own car to get around town. Take a bus if you made last-minute plans, are in a big group, and don’t really have the money for flights.
