Delhi Airport T3 Robotic Cafe

Imagine walking through Terminal 3 at Delhi Airport and walking into a cafe for a quick cup of coffee. What if you do not find a barista there? You would feel upset and disappointed, right? But not anymore! Delhi Airport’s T3 has launched a Robotic Cafe where a robotic arm serves you coffee, tea, and even ice cream. Sounds futuristic, right? Well, the future is already here at Delhi’s T3. Let’s learn more about this fun development.

Delhi Airport Robotic Cafe

Robo Brewing Co. At Delhi Airport

Delhi Airport Terminal 3 is now home to a robotic cafe at Robo Brewing Co. It is basically a small kiosk with no staff members to make your drinks or take orders from you. It has a robotic arm sitting behind the glass, which happens to do all the work. You can actually see the robot do all the work. The airport has mentioned that every order takes about two to three minutes, making it perfect for passengers who are short on time or in a rush.

To order anything, all you have to do is pick your item from the small screen that faces you. The payment is cashless, so you do not have to wait for any change. You can pick your item and pay via online options and then simply wait for your order.

The Robot arm picks up an empty cup and places it under the coffee machine. It waits while the coffee is being poured, and when the cup is full, the arm lifts it and then places it at the pickup window. Now you have to collect your drink from that window and enjoy!

Robotic Arm Serves Ice Cream Too

The Delhi Airport has posted videos of this Robotic Cafe on X, and they are simply mind-blowing. In one of the videos, you can also see the robot arm making ice cream! It takes out one paper cup from the stack and holds it right under the soft serve machine. When the ice cream is ready to be served, it places the cup near the window as the automated window slides open and allows the customers to take their coffee.

The kiosk also sells snacks and tea apart from coffee and ice cream. When no one is ordering, the arm starts to wave and move to the music. The prices aren’t mentioned yet, and the airport is planning to open more such robotic kiosks at other terminals and gates.
