Lower Demand & Ongoing Crisis Are The Reasons For The Halt In Services
The airline mentioned that the halt in services to a limited number of its international network is a well-thought-out decision. This decision of temporary adjustments is a result of a traditional lower demand in the upcoming quarter for these specific Asian destinations.
Another reason behind this is the escalating operating costs. The operating costs are increasing because of the high prices of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) because of the geopolitical unrest in West Asia. It also includes currency fluctuations, which have made some of the routes less viable financially.
The ongoing global airspace restrictions and disruptions have limited the fleet availability. It has also forced carriers to reassess their capacity deployment. All this is done in order to protect their profitability.
