Ganesh Chaturthi is a major festival celebrated across India, especially in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Hyderabad. In 2026, the festival will begin on Monday, September 14, and run for ten days, wrapping up with Visarjan on Friday, September 25. To accommodate the influx of devotees traveling for the celebrations, Central Railway has announced 246 Ganpati Special Trains. The CSMT – Sawantwadi Road Daily Special will offer two services. Train No: 01103 is scheduled to depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 3:30 PM daily from September 11 to 26, 2026 and will reach Sawantwadi Road the following morning. In contrast, Train No: 01104 will leave Sawantwadi Road at 4:35 AM each morning, arriving back at CSMT by 4:40 PM.
Similarly, another CSMT – Sawantwadi Road Daily Special will run with two additional services. Train No: 01151 will depart CSMT at 12:25 AM from September 11 to 27, 2026, making it to Sawantwadi Road by 2:20 PM.
