India’s transport network is growing at an unprecedented speed. With fresh highways, upgraded trains, and new services, connectivity within states and across them is getting a major upgrade. Adding to this upgrade are two new trains from Pune. Yes, two new trains will be inaugurated on Wednesday from Pune. One is the Amrit Bharat Express train between Pune and Bihar, while the other is a daily train between Pune and Sainagar Shirdi. Here’s everything you must know about it.
The Inaugural Ceremony Will Be Held In Two Stations
The inaugural ceremony will be hosted at both Pune Junction railway station and Hadapsar railway station. This event will be attended by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, as well as the Railway Minister of India, Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Two New Trains To Be Inaugurated From Pune
According to the railway officials, the Amrit Bharat Express between Pune and Danapur in Bihar will originate from Hadapsar railway station. The schedule of the train is yet to be finalised. It will offer facilities similar to those of Vande Bharat Express trains. The only difference is that it will be a non-AC train service and will also include sleeper-class and general coaches.
This upcoming service will connect Maharashtra and Bihar by covering about a 1,748 km journey in 34 hours. The train will be using the modern push and pull technology for safe and faster transport.
The other train service is the direct train connecting Pune and Sainagar Shirdi. It is one of the highly anticipated train services that will allow devotees to skip inconvenient travel or multi-leg journeys. The fixed schedule of this train is yet to be confirmed. This train service will originate from Pune Junction and will end at Sainagar Shirdi Railway Station.
The inauguration of this train is expected to take place at 3 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. It will help passengers reach the holy town in just 6 hours and 15 minutes. This service, according to the railway officials, is a safe, affordable, and comfortable travel option for all devotees wishing to visit the town.
