The Hemkund Sahib Yatra and the Chardham Yatra are some of the most popular religious pilgrimages for millions of Hindus across the country. The registrations for these pilgrimage sites officially commenced on March 20, 2026. Since then, both online and offline portals have witnessed record registrations for the two destinations. As per official reports, the total number of registrations for the five places combined has crossed a whopping 45 lakh. Here is a breakdown of registrations at each site.

If official reports are to go by, the exact number of registrations done so far is 45,31,080. It is important to note that this is not the final number of people who will register this season, as registrations are still going on.

Among the five pilgrimage destinations, Kedarnath received the highest number of registrations. As many as 14.87 lakh pilgrims registered for this site. Badrinath received the next highest number of registrations, a total of 13.48 lakh.
Gangotri received 8.06 lakh registrations, and Yamunotri, standing at 7.78 lakh registrations, received the lowest number of registrations of the five. In addition to these numbers, physical registration centers saw an additional 25,568 registrations from devotees signing up offline on Monday, June 5, 2026, alone.

Hemkund Sahib Registration Statistics
On the same day, the Rishikesh Transit Camp recorded the highest daily turnout of registrations, crossing 11,400. Haridwar followed close at the heels with 11,357. The Rishikesh Gurudwara, too, saw 1,332 registrations.

Of these, 1,302 were for the Hemkund Sahib Yatra, and 859 registrations were for the Nayagaun. Additionally, Herbertpur received 528 pilgrim registrations.
Kedarnath and Badrinath Temples opened their gates to pilgrims for this season on April 22 and 23, respectively. On the other hand, Gangotri and Yamunotri opened earlier, on April 19, on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritya.
