Excellent Tourism Expansion Plan
FitsAir will offer bookings for these direct flights through curated travel packages. These packages combine flights with local experiences and hotel stays. They will also make some tickets available online for people who prefer independent bookings.
The flight is an excellent part of Sri Lanka tourism‘s expansion move as India is one of it’s largest source market. It has recognised Gujarat as an untapped but very prospective source market. At present Gujarat contributes about 25,000 to 30,000 tourists every year. With the launch of direct flights this number is sure to increase.
Tourism experts foresee that this move will not only facilitate cultural and leisure travel but also might give rise to MICE tourism. MICE tourism is a kind of business travel that focuses on Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).
