Strawberry Festival

When we talk about strawberry festivals, Mahableshwar in Maharashtra often comes to mind. However, there’s another celebration happening in Northeast India that you may not know about. Meghalaya, celebrated for its stunning landscapes, will be hosting a Strawberry Festival from February 25 to March 7, 2026. The festivities will take place in various locations, starting with Smit Village from February 25 to 28 and continuing at Sohliya from March 4 to 7, along with events in Tura at Darechikgre.

Organized by the Government of Meghalaya, this Strawberry festival aims to showcase the growth of strawberry farming in the region. It also provides local farmers with direct access to markets during this peak season. One can look forward to a variety of activities, including strawberry picking, farm tours, and tasting sessions, all while enjoying live performances from talented local artists as part of the Chief Minister’s Meghalaya Grassroots Music Program.
