Starting from October 26, 2025, India and China have reached an agreement to restart direct flights, marking a new chapter in their relationship following five years of strain due to the Galwan clashes.

IndiGo, one of India’s largest passenger airlines, has announced that it will be resuming direct flights from Kolkata to Guangzhou (CAN) with daily, non-stop services commencing on October 26. This decision closely follows the announcement from the Ministry of External Affairs about the normalization of ties between the two countries. Additionally, IndiGo plans to introduce direct flights from Delhi to Guangzhou soon.

India-China Direct Flights Start From INR 29,000

When it comes to these India-China flights, they will operate these routes using their Airbus A320neo aircraft, emphasizing their intention to foster strategic business partnerships.

You can look forward to double daily services connecting both Delhi and Kolkata to Guangzhou, which play a crucial role in reinforcing aviation ties between these significant economies.

One-way tickets in Economy from Kolkata to Guangzhou cost INR 15,000, with a flight duration of 3.5 hours. For return flights, the pricing starts at INR 29,000. As of October 3, 2025, tickets for the Kolkata-Guangzhou route will be available for purchase through IndiGo’s official website and mobile app.
