About Sula Vineyards
Over the last 20 years, Sula has grown and established itself as a pioneer, innovator and leader in the Indian wine industry.
As one of India’s most well-known wineries, Sula Vineyards was established in 1999 by Rajeev Samant. Sula is the pioneer in introducing Indians to a wide variety of grape varietals such as Chenin blanc, Sauvignon blanc, Riesling and Zinfandel.
From the sale of their first bottle of wine in 2000 to being one of the best wine brands in India, Sula takes pride in their winemaking process. A process that deeply values time and patience along with high-quality wine grapes.
In 2005, it opened India’s first-ever tasting room at a winery. Three years later, it organized India’s first-ever wine and music festival in the form of Sula Fest. That same year, it opened the country’s first vineyard resort. Today, the massive 1,800+ acre estate overlooks the serene Gangapur Dam and misty, emerald-green rolling hills.

Grape Stomping
Get your shoes off and wash your feet because after drinking some wine, it’s time to stomp on grapes! Instead of being crushed in machines, grapes are repeatedly trampled with bare feet to release all the juices. It’s after this process that the fermentation begins.
Rooftop Dinner
Wine and dine and give your day the perfect ending. Head to either one of the restaurants (there are two) and watch the sunset as you order yourself some dinner. Rāsā, the Italian restaurant will hit all the right spots as you take a bite into their delicious Italian dishes. Or you can go for some finger food in the Tasting Room. Whatever you decide to go with, you can count on some wine to be there.
