Only Government-Authorized Vehicles Allowed
The forest department has issued an order announcing the opening of the Dudhsagar Falls 2026-27 circuit for eco-tourism for the 2026-27 season. However, GTDC has announced that only vehicles authorized by the Goa Forest Department will be permitted for entry. This is to ensure visitor safety and a regulated control over who has access to the pristine landscape there. The bookings of the vehicle are to be made online through a government-authorized portal run by GTDC.
Entry Capped At 240 Daily Trips
The entry gate of Bhagwan Mahavir National Park at Collem will remain open from 8 AM to 3 PM for batches of 30 to 40 people only, at hourly intervals. The order also states that for the initial period of 15 days, additional forest staff and personnel will be deployed near the river crossing and at the waterfall site as a precaution as well as during any yellow alerts issued by India Meteorological Department, Goa.

Entry to Dudhsagar Falls has been capped to 240 daily trips and only vehicles registered with Goa forest department will be permitted. No other private vehicles / two-wheelers will be permitted to enter the tourist circuit from the entry gate, as per official orders.

Security & Environmental Measures Amped Up For Visitors
The government has asserted that entering the waterfall without life jackets is strictly prohibited. An adequate number of forest guards, trekkers, nature guards, and other personnel have been deployed by Goa’s forest department and GTDC for visitor safety.
Entry to the falls from the railway track is strictly prohibited in the circuit. The number of adults per vehicle shall be restricted to seven at a time. Additionally, speed driving and rash driving is strictly prohibited. Further, permit holders shall ensure that the vehicle is safe and in the best condition for use.

Addressing environmental concerns, plastic water bottles and plastic carry bags will not be permitted inside the national park or the wildlife sanctuary. Moreover, authorities have stated that possession and consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited inside the premises and strict legal action will be taken against those violating the rule.
