Bandra is one of those neighborhoods where you don’t really need a plus-one all the time to have a good time. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, art galleries, and other places where you can easily spend quality time with yourself. From leisurely brunches and browsing through bookstores to solo dinners in the perfect ambiance, there is a lot to do here. And if you’re wondering how and what to do, here’s how you can spend a solo date in Bandra. Time to have your main character moment!
Solo Date In Bandra: Here’s What We Think You Should Do!
Grab A Coffee At Grounded Cafe
A solo date has to begin with a wholesome cup of your favorite drink, and if you are a coffee person, head to Grounded Cafe. We began our ‘solo date in Bandra’ experience in the evening, just in time during the golden hour. Choose from their assorted menu of drinks, both iced and hot. The cafe has both outdoor and indoor seating options with floral decor and contemporary elegance. If you are looking for good pictures while you’re here, we’d recommend visiting the place in the evening before sunset, during the golden hour.

Stroll Along The Bandstand Promenade
After having your coffee at Grounded, you can simply walk for 5 minutes to reach the Bandstand Promenade. The promenade is one of the most popular landmarks of Mumbai. The vast Arabian Sea stretches out in front of you while high-rise buildings and towers make up for the Bandra skyline along the Bandstand street. You can buy light snacks and beverages here to enjoy the view, but make sure to not litter!

Stroll along the promenade, click pictures, and enjoy the sunset. The best time to enjoy the sunset is between 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

Head To Fictionary To Grab Matcha & A Book
From Grounded, you can head to a local bookstore to spend some time scrambling through books. We headed to the Fictionary Bookstore & Cafe to grab a Strawberry Matcha and browse through books. The bookstore is ideal for an introvert out on a solo date – no one to disturb you as you browse through an assorted curation of books, novels, and more. The small cafe inside the bookstore has a limited but delicious selection of beverages and light snacks. Simply grab a coffee or matcha and a book to read, and you can easily spend an hour or two here.

Grab A Drink At Call Me Sofia
After recharging yourself at the bookstore, its time to live a quintessential solo date experience – sitting at the bar by yourself! If you’re doing a solo date in Bandra and looking for a great solo date-friendly bar, we’d recommend Call Me Sofia in an instant. Call Me Sofia has a cozy, intimate ambiance and it gets even more enjoyable in the evening thanks to its dim lights and the happening bar.
Here, we tried two drinks – Amore and Call Me Picante – and both blew our minds! The cocktails were made with precision and technique by Call Me Sofia’s bartender Shivam. We paired the drinks with Truffle Fries and the combination was simply brilliant!

End The Day With A Wholesome Dinner At Foo
For the last thing on your ‘solo date in Bandra’, you should head to Foo for a wholesome dinner. The restaurant is located on Linking Road and is one of the best restaurants in Bandra for an enjoyable pan-Asian dining experience. We tried a number of dishes here, including the Sriracha Chicken Dumpling, Singaporean Chicken Noodles, and Foo Queen Cocktail.

There is something to explore in almost all corners of Bandra. I’d recommend visiting Bandra during sunset and enjoying sunset views at Bandstand or Carter Road.
