The Western Railway (WR) has revised the timetable for local trains from today. The telos of this move is to optimize efficiency and improve services as well as the passenger experience. As such, the WR has added some new services to the Mumbai local train timetable and also canceled a few old ones as part of the changes. From new train timings to canceled train numbers, here are all of the other important details regular local train commuters would need to know to stay updated and avoid any inconveniences or delays.
Western Railway Changes Local Train Schedule
The total number of trains currently operated by the WR is unchanged. It still operates around 1,414 suburban train services. If reports are to go by, many train services have minor changes in their route. For instance, many services will skip the halt at Borivali.

Some New Services Announced; Some Old Ones Canceled
Here are the more precise details about the changes announced:
Six New Services Announced
The new suburban services announced consist of two up and four down services.
- There is a Bhayandar-Virar local departing at 7:46 AM and reaching Virar at 8:12 AM.
- A Borivali-Bhayandar train will depart at 10:14 PM and reach at 10:30 PM.
- In addition to this, a Borivali-Virar service will depart at 10:51 PM and reach Virar at 11:33 PM.
- Another train from Borivali will depart at 12:28 AM and reach Bhayandar at 12:46 AM.
- One other late-night service has also been announced from Virar to Borivali. It will depart at 11:51 PM and reach Borivali at 12:26 AM.
- There is also a train starting from Bandra at 11:58 AM and reaching Churchgate at 12:30 PM.
Six Old Services Canceled
Two new AC Local services have been withdrawn as part of the schedule change. These operated on the Churchgate-Borivali and Borivali-Churchgate route. Apart from these, the following are the canceled services:

- BO90483
- BCL90911
- BO94138
- BO90540.
