Though they did not win, their presence has increased the number of searches for them on the internet. 

Travel companies reported an increase in interest among tourists in Cabo Verde. Expedia, an online travel platform, recorded an 800 percent-plus rise in searches from US users during the tournament itself.

 As per The Print, European travel operator TUI mentioned that searches for Cabo Verde have doubled as compared to June 2025, rising by 110 percent. It mentioned that a huge number of searches are coming specifically from Japan. The surge in interest has also prompted predictions of a boom in tourism on social media.

Cabo Verde is already a very popular destination among European tourists. According to the country’s National Institute of Statistics, hotels here received 12,48,052 guests in 2025, which is 6 percent more than the previous year.
