In a massive move that’s expected to give a major boost to tourism in Sri Lanka, the country is giving free Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to a total of 40 countries, including India. This particular initiative will come into effect from May 25, 2026, and will remain in effect until further notice. However, it is important to note that any ETA fee paid prior to May 25 will not be refunded. This new initiative further cements Sri Lanka as a budget-friendly, domestic-like travel destination.
