Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, is all set to welcome Sphere Abu Dhabi, the first Sphere venue outside the United States of America. This entertainment destination will be located between Yas Mall and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, surrounded by lush greenery and conveniently located near other thrilling attractions on Yas Island. The construction is projected to be completed by the end of 2029.

Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, the Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that Sphere Abu Dhabi demonstrates the emirate’s commitment to long-term growth and development. He emphasized that the USD 1.7 billion investment signals Abu Dhabi’s ambition and readiness to offer world-class experiences. This venue aims to attract a diverse audience, celebrating Emirati culture and talent on a grand scale, making it a focal point for the community and visitors alike.

James L. Dolan, the Executive Chairman of Sphere Entertainment, also shared his excitement, stating that Sphere Abu Dhabi marks the beginning of their vision to create a network of global venues. He believes that Abu Dhabi’s unique status as a cultural hub makes it the perfect location for such an ambitious project, promising unique immersive experiences and vibrant cultural events.
