Owing to the ongoing US-Iran conflict, oil companies have announced a hike in fuel prices. Fuels like Diesel and Petrol will now get costlier by INR 3. In addition to this, the price of CNG has also gone up by INR 2 in Delhi as well as Mumbai. This price will come into effect immediately. Petrol, Diesel Prices Hiked Amid US-Iran War
The blockade of the Strait of Hormuz following the escalation of the war by the US against Iran is having an impact globally. This price hike is also a ripple effect of that.

If reports are to go by, this fuel price increase is only about one-tenth of the rise that would have been required to offset the price rise in energy globally.

Mumbai: INR 106.68 per liter
Kolkata: INR 108.74 per liter
Chennai: INR 103.67 per liter
