Traveling with kids on long flights can often feel like an uphill battle. Despite packing a treasure trove of games, toys, and books to keep them entertained, factors like time zone changes, turbulence, or just travel jitters can turn little ones into cranky travelers. However, now, Air India has come up with a great solution. Air India has launched Cloud Chasers – a new program crafted to upgrade the travel experience for families and young adventurers.
What Is Air India’s Cloud Chasers Launch
Cloud Chasers is all about engaging with the spirit of exploration and the boundless curiosity of childhood. This initiative comes at a time when family travel is on the rise, with estimates showing a 13% increase between 2024 and 2025. It highlights the pressing need for memorable experiences tailored for kids and their parents.
One of the exciting features of Cloud Chasers is the revamped Maharaja. Traditionally recognized as Air India’s mascot, he’s now taking on a new role as a fun and adventurous companion for kids, guiding them through their journeys. This playful version of the Maharaja will appear throughout the Cloud Chasers experience, from activity kits to special First Flight Certificates.
To make the in-flight experience enjoyable for families with children, Air India has introduced several key elements:
- Fun Activity Kits: Kids aged 3 to 9 traveling on long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights will receive beautifully designed activity kits. These kits come packed with puzzles, games, coloring sections, and prompts that stimulate curiosity, all featuring the adorable new version of the Maharaja.
- Memorable First Flight Certificates: To mark the significance of a child’s first flight, Air India has revamped its First Flight Certificate. Now featuring a delightful design, each certificate is signed by the captain and makes for a wonderful keepsake of that first aerial adventure.
- Innovative Entertainment Options: The ‘Kids Zone’ on the Vista in-flight entertainment system includes over 130 hours of engaging content. Additionally, Vista Stream allows children to access more than 35 hours of age-appropriate shows on their devices. Collaborations with various global partners provide animated and educational material suitable for children aged 3 to 13. The digital experience is further enhanced by interactive features such as ‘Kids Maps’ and a range of games from UNO to Ludo Race, along with informative audio stories to minimise screen time.
To ease travel for parents, Cloud Chasers also has helpful services:
Priority Handling: Families traveling with children enjoy priority boarding and check-in assistance whenever possible.
Onboard Comfort: Options such as infant meals and bassinet seats are available on select flights.
Exceptional Service: Air India crew members, trained to support families, offer dedicated assistance throughout the journey.
With Cloud Chasers, Air India is making flying with kids not just manageable but truly enjoyable!
