Also known as the first green village of India, Khonoma is a place bursting with ancient history and natural beauty. The village is home to the Khonoma Fort, a symbol of the Naga resistance against the British. What makes this village unique is its harmonious blend of culture, history, and eco-consciousness. The local tribes put a complete ban on hunting and logging to protect their natural habitat.

They united in the conservation efforts of the endangered Blyth’s Tragopan pheasant. Prepare to be mesmerized by the multi-layered paddy fields, traditional Angami houses, and the kind and welcoming locals.

Jakhama

18 km south from Kohima

Jakhama is another historically and culturally significant village near Kohima, the state capital. It is most famous for its picturesque paddy fields, emerald hills, and an intriguing history. It served as one of the campsites for Japanese soldiers during World War 2. In fact, you can still find bullet marks on some of the older houses! These marks testify to the village’s deep-rooted association with World War 2.

Step into a traditional Angami kitchen, understand the local culture, and savor local rice beer called Khie. The village is als known for serving as the entryway to the public during the spectacular Hornbill Festival celebrations at the nearby Kisama Heritage Village.</span>

Jotsoma

8 km west from Kohima

Along with Khonoma and Jakhama, the makers have reportedly shot at Jotsoma as well. It is just about 8 km away from Kohima, and is known for many trekking routes that start from here. From the nearby mountains, you can get a view of not just Kohima but also parts of Mount Japfu, Nagaland’s second-highest peak. Visit the Jotsoma Local Ground, the local church, and the World War II Memorial to get a glimpse into the local life and the history of this quaint village.</span>

Whereas more than 500 crew members/volunteers were from Kohima and other parts of Nagaland. This highlights how the makers have utilized the talent of the local people for The Family Man 3.

The makers haven’t released official media apart from the trailer. However, one can expect a glimpse of the local Nagaland culture being shown in the web show.
