The waterfall is situated close to a temple of the same name, only about 2 kilometers (km) away. From the Nashik Central Bus Station, the waterfall is situated at a distance of about 9 km.

It is well-connected by roads that stretch out through Nashik and other regions in Maharashtra. This means, you can self-drive or hire a cab to reach the waterfall.
Moreover, you can also use public transport like buses to reach the waterfall. There are several buses that you can board from the Nashik CBS to reach Gangapur Road and you can get down near the Gangapur Village.
From here, you can begin your small hike to the waterfall. If you’re not from Nashik, worry not, because Nashik is well connected to other cities via air, rail, and buses.

The best time to visit it is between the months of June and October.
This is the time when Nashik experiences plenty of rainfall, and it makes the waterfall flow in full force, turning the waterfall into a popular tourist attraction.
However, note that the monsoon season is when you’ll find the waterfall the most crowded. People from all over Maharashtra (and India) flock to this place for stunning views of the waterfall and the lush greenery surrounding it.
If you’re visiting the waterfall in this season, we highly recommend visiting it in June or September/October and on a weekday for minimum crowds.
If you miss out visiting the waterfall in the peak monsoon season, we suggest that you visit it in the winter season starting from November.

The weather is pleasant and the waterfall flows in bounty – making it a great one day trip in the winters.
However, this makes summer the least preferable season to visit the waterfall. Not only does the flow of the waterfall shrink down drastically, but the weather is quite unbearably dry.
There are comparatively less tourists in this season but we do not recommend visiting the waterfall in this season. Unless you’re fine with a mostly dry, shrunken waterfall!
Essential Tips To Know When Visiting Someshwar Waterfall In Monsoon
- Prepare well in advance – make sure you have all the essential supplies you’ll need to get to the waterfall in the monsoon season. Make sure you have an umbrella/raincoat, waterproof jacket, gumboots or heavy-duty trekking shoes, and other garments to keep you warm. Carry extra pairs of clothing in case you plan to take a dip or get wet in the rain. And, do not forget to bring the towels!
- If you’re on medication, consult your doctor before going on this trip. Carry your medicines and other essential first-aid items like bandages, scissors, etc in a box. This will not be required mostly, but it’s advisable to carry these items just in case of an emergency!
- Monsoon means the path to the waterfall will be wet, slippery, and murky. When making your way, make sure to be careful about your steps. Do not be in a hurry as it will only increase your chances of meeting an injury.
