Japan introduced the world to the concept of capsule hotels, where every inch of the room is used to offer compact, efficient spaces with amenities included. Aamraa Resort is Maharashtra’s first capsule camping destination, bringing a slice of Japanese innovation right to your doorstep.

This resort is your best bet if you’re seeking some privacy for the resort’s layout ensures you have your own private space to retreat to, even when it’s fully booked. The blend of privacy and socializing at your will makes it a fantastic choice for those traveling alone.

Amenities

At Aamraa Resort, the Cosmo capsules are the show stealers. These capsules are beautifully designed, offering all the basic amenities you might need while ensuring you feel completely at home. Each capsule is equipped with a comfortable bed, storage space, and huge windows. It’s like having your little cocoon in the woods, where you can unwind and recharge.

However, if you’re uncomfortable staying in the capsules (you likely won’t be because they’re so comfortable!) you can opt to stay either in their Vintage rooms that are your traditional hotel rooms or the Lofts. The loft rooms are similar to the vintage rooms except they have actual trees placed inside as interiors!

No getaway is complete without indulging in some delicious food, and Aamraa Resort doesn’t disappoint. The on-site restaurant offers a variety of dishes that cater to all taste buds. From traditional Maharashtrian cuisine to more international fare, you’ll likely be in a pickle about what to order. For a more intimate dining experience, you can request a picnic by the river or a private dinner in your tree house or capsule.

Another feature of Aamraa Resort that will entice you is its location. The entire property overlooks the picturesque Pushpawati River, which means you’ll have tranquil backdrops wherever you see. For a place that’s constructed so strategically amidst nature, sunrise and sunset are particularly magical, almost like the sky paints a masterpiece of colors over the water.

The resort also offers yoga and meditation sessions, perfect for those looking to find inner peace amidst nature. Imagine doing your morning yoga with the sound of the river in the background and the fresh, crisp air filling your lungs. It’s a rejuvenating experience that’s hard to replicate anywhere else.

Exploring the Surroundings

The Cosmo capsule sure is a fun place to stay in and with the river by the side, you have yourself a nice getaway. However, if you wish to explore instead of sleeping in all day, here are some places you can visit:

  1. Shivneri Fort: You can’t be in Junnar and not visit this iconic fort that’s the place where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born. Make sure you see the Badami Talav, Shivai Devi Temple, Chain Gate, and the famous execution point.
  2. Lenyadri Caves: Another great place to explore is these 30 rock-cut caves. Inside some of them are sacred shrines, while some are viharas or dwelling areas where the monks stopped to rest.
  3. Darya Ghat: The best time to visit this offbeat destination is during monsoon when the rains fill the surrounding waterfalls. There is a string of waterfalls here which come gushing down and create pools where you can go swimming.

Summing Up

While treks are fun and enliven your adrenaline rush, sometimes, a quiet, solo vacation is better so you get time to sit in silence with your thoughts. The Cosmo capsules at Aamraa Resort give you exactly that opportunity which is why you should plan your next escapade ASAP to Junnar!
