Dubai is set to become home to the world’s tallest resort with the introduction of a groundbreaking wellness retreat. This initiative has received the green light from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s Crown Prince and the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence. The retreat will be developed in partnership with Therme Group, a renowned global leader in wellness. It will offer a unique blend of leisure, healthcare, and entertainment all within an innovative structure.

Located in Zabeel Park, one of Dubai’s key green spaces, Therme Dubai is slated to open its doors in 2028. This project aspires to revolutionize urban wellness. It is a crucial element of Dubai’s ambition to position itself as a premier destination for wellness tourism worldwide.

What Can You Expect At World’s Tallest Resort?

Therme Dubai spans 500,000 square feet and reaches a height of 100 meters. Once open, it aims to welcome up to 1.7 million visitors each year. The wellness resort will have three main areas: the Play Zone, which offers family-friendly activities and water slides; the Relax Zone, featuring thermal pools and natural treatments; and the Restore Zone, designed for relaxation with saunas, steam rooms, and mineral baths.

Designed by the global architecture firm DS+R (Diller Scofidio + Renfro), this world’s tallest resort promises a unique wellness experience. It will include therapeutic pools, expansive indoor and terrace pools, and a Michelin-star restaurant. Key attractions will feature three waterfalls standing 18 meters tall, an exciting play area with 15 water slides, and immersive art installations. The resort will also host cultural exhibitions, merging art and wellness. It will also include the largest indoor botanical garden in the world. The botanical garden will showcase over 200 plant species to support urban biodiversity and a greener ecosystem.
