As a kid, I was always enchanted by movies. They offered me an escape from reality and often provided valuable life lessons that changed my perspective. One such film that truly impacted me was Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. It’s not merely about the thrill of being Bunny and roaming the world; it’s also about embracing the steadiness of being Naina and finding peace in one’s surroundings.
While some may label Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani as just a travel film that ignites a passion for adventure, I believe it goes much deeper. The movie teaches us how to truly live life and cherish our loved ones. Even after watching it nearly 50 times, I never tire of it. Here’s why it resonated with me so strongly.

Naina Makes You Realise That Sometimes Staying At One Place Is The Best
In our fast-paced world filled with rush, chaos, and constant changes, traveling to tick off items on a bucket list has become the norm. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this lifestyle, sometimes it’s important to simply enjoy the present moment and stay in one place. Spending time with loved ones, establishing a routine, and enjoying a cup of tea at the same café every day may seem boring, but these experiences are essential parts of life that we should cherish rather than escape. And this is what Naina teaches us.

Sometimes Plans Fail And It’s Okay
Avi turns to alcohol as his bar faces decline, and he struggles with the bitterness of watching his business falter. He makes several attempts to turn things around, but unfortunately, nothing seems to succeed. As the story unfolds, Avi learns to accept that sometimes plans don’t pan out, and that’s perfectly alright. This mirrors real life—there will be moments when your dreams let you down and you experience failure, but there’s always the opportunity for a fresh start, a new chapter ready to be written.
No Matter Where You Go, India Is Beautiful
The film captures the essence of the US, Paris, and several other locations, but it’s the breathtaking sunset in Udaipur and the majestic beauty of its palaces, along with the lively markets and temples of Manali, that truly deepen your affection for India. From the colorful wedding celebrations to the stunning palaces of Udaipur and the snow-capped mountains in Sonmarg, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani spectacularly showcases the surprises that India has to offer.
We All Mess Up, And Life Is All About Second Chances
For some, the main focus may be on love and adventure, but what struck a chord with me was the theme of second chances. Whether it’s Naina and Bunny’s relationship getting another chance, Aditi being able to find love again, or Avi having the chance to relaunch his career, life certainly offers us second chances. Occasionally, these moments can be even more beautiful than the original experiences.
