India introduced its first semi-high-speed rail service, the Vande Bharat Express, in February 2019. Since then, this service has connected various towns and cities across the country. Currently, there are more than 164 Vande Bharat Express routes operating throughout India. Starting from March 15, however, the schedules for four of these trains will be updated. As per the recent announcement from the Ministry of Railways, the revised timings will be implemented for trains managed by the South-Western Railway zone, taking effect on March 15, 2026.

Additionally, the Kalaburagi–SMVT Bengaluru service (22231) has modified its arrival times at two stations: Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam is now at 11:13 PM, up from 11:00 PM, and Yelahanka is updated to 12:58 PM from 12:28 PM. Furthermore, the SMVT Bengaluru–Kalaburagi service (22232) will now run daily except on Thursdays, with new timings at key stops.
Indian Railways is adjusting train schedules to improve efficiency on crowded routes. With Vande Bharat trains having high occupancy and shorter intervals, even minor timing changes can help with platform management, train coordination, and reducing delays. Passengers with connections or local travel plans may need to adjust accordingly.
