The district planning office and Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, tourism department, water resources department, public works department, and the Indian Air Force are jointly organizing the event.
The Surya Kiran Squadron is the only aerobatics squadron in Asia, formed in 1996. The unique team has demonstrated over 500 displays in India, showcasing the immense skills of the Indian Air Force. It has also performed internationally in China, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Air Show Nashik will be held at Nashik’s Gangapur Dam in a bid to boost tourism in and around the area. The SKAT will perform spectacular aerobatic displays with the help of nine aircraft. And these aren’t any ordinary aircraft – they are special Hawk MK 132 fighter training aircraft.
On 22nd January, the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team will conduct a rehearsal in the Gangapur Dam area. This means, if you’re lucky, you can witness the aerial show for two consecutive days.
